Big price discrepancies, or what does the cost of fencing depend on? Part 1.
Our clients often wonder how different the costs of plot fencing may be, depending on the system chosen and other factors. We decided to devote several subsequent blog entries to this issue and explain why there is no simple Xcel pricelist, which makes up the final cost of the aluminum fence and present examples of fencing projects for the same plot, in various price options.
Every construction is different
As in the case of building a house, the final price of the fence consists of many factors. We can choose cheap, ready-made system solutions or a more expensive individual project. Selected materials are of great importance – the cost of them differs depending on the type, durability and availability. The cost of the aluminum fence is also influenced by the number and type of construction works, the type of installations needed, additional elements and the way of monitoring the works.
First of all, the project!
Depending on the budget and needs, we can choose simple system panels or individually designed fencing. System solutions are much cheaper, but they may not be sufficient in difficult terrain or atypical aesthetic requirements. The cost of a modern fence, created on the basis of an individual project, will of course be higher. This solution, however, ensures that the final result will be in line with the investor's expectations. The design also allows you to shorten the assembly time and avoid many errors before starting work. Our designers have extensive experience and are up to date with current trends. The choice of material and professionals
As in the case of a house, the final price of a fence is influenced by the way it is built. The devil is not as black as he is painted and many people choose the so-called economic system, that is, they independently select and employ all teams and professionals. It is the cheapest solution - you just need basic knowledge in the field of construction and find proven subcontractors. However, if you do not feel strong and you are afraid that something will go wrong, you can hire a general contractor, a person who will take responsibility for the entire investment, selecting the right specialists, materials, etc. Recently, the third option has also appeared on the market, i.e. specialized companies that conduct the investor through all stages of construction, advising and limiting the likelihood of mistakes.
Who will check compliance with the project?
If the fence is built on the basis of the project, it is important that the final effect coincides with the original plans. When building a house, the construction manager controls the work, and how does it look like in the case of a fence? If you have a trained eye and basic building knowledge, you can take care of it yourself and this solution will be the cheapest. In another case, you can use the help of a specialist, such as an architect or fence designer, or a construction supervision inspector.
It is cheaper by one’s own
The cost of building a fence can be reduced by supervising works by yourself or even doing some work yourself. This solution is the cheapest in a situation where you have basic knowledge in the field of construction. If you do not feel strong enough to look after the work yourself, you can hire professionals who will help you avoid any mistakes. When you care about the time and a perfect end result, before starting the construction works, it is worth investing in the project. Many companies count its cost against later works, so the money is paid back.
