Everything good ends quickly – our report from 4DD
4 Design Days are over. Thank you to all those who have found the time to visit the Xcel stand and talk to us for a while. Once again, we return to work with our heads full of inspiration and new ideas.
Year by year, the event is getting bigger and bigger, so we are impatiently looking forward to next editions. The numbers speak for themselves: 300 speakers, 9,000 professionals, 25 thousand visitors. We are happy that such a special event is taking place in Poland.
The first days were spent on lectures and discussion panels with the participation of the best designers from Poland and abroad. We also had the opportunity to talk to architects, designers and investors.
Our paths meet during everyday work, but usually we focus on current projects and we lack the time to exchange opinions about new trends and the best solutions.
The building of the International Congress Center makes a huge impression and ideally suits the character of the whole event. This year, the exhibition zone included the Katowice icon, ie Spodek. For four days both industry leaders and debutants presented their solutions. There were also representatives of Polish design who are appreciated all over the world today.
We noticed some interesting trends. In the interiors, to finish a variety of elements, consistent materials are used, and the designers opt for convenience and are increasingly willing to reach for maintenance-free materials.
During the open days, which took place on 17-18.-02, there were additional attractions, such as the Tomasz Pągowski and Marcin Szczelina Marathon of Architecture and the Design Marathon, a competition for young designers.
There were also TV stars: Jimi Odgen, Omenaa Mensah and Zbigniew Urbański. Visitors could consult interior designers free of charge and shop at SILESIA BAZAAR Dizajn, an independent Polish design fair.
